Austin Falls is located on old route 8B just north of Lake Pleasant. The road is still drivable with a car if you take it slow. There is a parking area on the left side of the road at the lower end of the falls. The falls runs along side the road so getting down to the falls is easy. There are several paths along the river depending on the water level depends on the path you’ll follow. The waterfalls are more like a cascade that runs for a few hundred feet with an upper and lower fall. The setting is so natural that you’ll be surprised on how long you’re their. Christine Falls is on the same river but off limits to the public due to the power plant. The river is part of the Sacandaga river system that feeds the Great Sacandaga Lake.

Thanks Matt,
the falls are small but the water flow was better than a week earlier, I may check it out in low water times to compare. The overall cascade is hard to shoot due to it's length.

yeah I bet... I struggle with the really wide falls. Tall ones are okay if you shoot wide foregrounds with them. I haven't had the chance to try out one like. I'm taking notes for when I get out that way.
