The Niagara River Interactive Map serves as both a map to help orient you with the Niagara River and Niagara Falls area, and also a link page as most of the markers have links to pages that provide more detail.

How to use this map

NavigationNavigation: Click and drag to move around the map. You can also move around the map by clicking the navigation buttons in the upper left hand corner. To return to the previous position click the center button. To zoom in and out click the [+] or [‒] buttons or drag the slider up and down the ladder just below the arrow navigation buttons.

Pins denote waterfall locations. The color and markings on the pin indicate the status and some details of the location. Pins represent approximate locations only. In some cases one pin may represent a location with many waterfalls (a glen or park). Click the pin to get a brief description of the location and, if available, a link to the NYFalls.com profile for that location.

Markers indicate a points of interest. There are many varieties of markers denoting parks, tourist attractions, wineries, power supplies, etc. Clicking a marker will center it on the screen and open a bubble that will provide a link to more information about that point of interest.

Map types: There are three different ways to view the map. The standard [Map] mode shows roads and large bodies of water. The [Satellite] mode shows detailed photography in place of the standard map. Some areas (usually cities) may have more detail than others. The [Hybrid] mode will display the satellite images, but overlays the roads from the standard map on top, making it easier for you to identify locations. Toggle the modes using the buttons in the upper right hand corner.

Accuracy and completeness: In no way is this map 100% complete or accurate. If you find any inform to be false, or know of a location that's not represented, please let us know about it. For new locations, it would be a great help to provide as much detail as possible to help us map and describe it properly. Thanks!
