Matt and I got out to Havana Glen today in the snow. Great trip! The falls were beautiful all iced over. Trail wasn't bad considering how snowy it is.

Played with the contrast and color saturation a bit to bring out some detail and the blue hues in the ice.

cool! Were the falls completely frozen or could you see/hear water flowing inside of all that ice?

The water was flowing behind the ice. You could just about see it, but you could hear it quite well. I have a few seconds of HD video I'm gonna post later on tonight.cbobcat49 wrote:cool! Were the falls completely frozen or could you see/hear water flowing inside of all that ice?

Indeed! We got up the front of it a little way, but beyond a certain point it was just too slick & solid to get any good footing without decent crampons or what-have-you.

I don't have much time to go through my photos, but I took a quick look, and this being my first waterfall outing with the new Olympus E-5, I must say... I am blown away by the sharpness and clarity of the photos.

I thought the park was closed from mid October until May?
