Good day all! I found the site while searching for waterfalls to visit and photogragh (seems like a some what common excuse), particularly in the Finger Lakes and Rochester areas.

Hi Ken, welcome aboard! Do you live around here or are you planning a visit at some point?

Thank you everyone. We (my wife & I) live in the Saratoga Springs area but visit the Finger Lakes and our daughter in Rochester often through out the year. Staying in Waterloo next weekend. Any suggestions for mild (ametuer) snowshoeing in conjunction with viewing/photographing waterfalls in the region?

There are several trails at Montezuma. There are also a number of trails in the nat'l forest, which is about 1/2 hour from Waterloo. Feel free to PM me for trail conditions at the nat'l forest before you make the drive. There are no falls at Montezuma, but lots of wildlife! There are several small gorges (i.e., Ravine Loop trail) in the nat'l forest, but there are also several spectacular falls within a half hour drive of the forest (Taughannock & Hector Falls).

I was at the 'I Love New York' Web site and was looking for another "close trip" to take the family, the Free Falling caught me and then I went to the full listing and here I am!
