I stopped to take a few shots since it is nice out at the lookout park. I see people over at the new park so I head over and its news10 doing some photo shoot there. Totally lame that they wait so long to open the park. It should at least be open on weekends.

I've never been to the Waterford side, sounds interesting. I was in Poestenkill Gorge a long time ago in the winter, I should really get back there one of these days.

That is stunnigly gorgeous!

I haven't posted here in a long time but I wanted to share my recent videos of Cohoes Falls. These were shot yesterday. They're high-def so feel free to go full-screen with them.

This one was taken further down at approx. 4pm the same day gauge height was over flood stage. Falls View Park was closed for safety reasons.

On another note, if you ever want to see the falls during the day you can go to the USGS site: http://ny.water.usgs.gov/rt/pub/01357500.htm

The picture quality isn't the best but it's nice for scouting a trip in the afternoon.

Amazing video, the amount of rain we had was crazy. I'm planning on going out this weekend to see what is going on in various places, I'll probably swing past Cohoes just to check it out.

I plan to check the Poestenkill this afternoon and perhaps Barberville tomorrow.
