there were several butterfly photos on Capture Rochester from there. I would assume photography is allowed.

Imagine my delight when I came out to the office this morning to find this male Giant Silkworm Moth hanging out on my door! Polyphemus moth (Antheraea polyphemus) Note the bushy antennae. Females have much thinner antennae (and bigger bellies for carrying eggs).

Thanks Kelly. I went to check on him late yesterday afternoon because I was worried about him being protected from the wind and the rain (I'm so glad that I moved him from my office porch.), and it took me a minute to spot him. It's so cool how something so large and colorful can manage to camouflage itself.

My butterfly bush isn't in bloom yet! I can't wait to see the hummingbird moths again! I love those little guys.
