Hello from the state of Washington . . .

Took the ferry across Puget Sound today and the fog cleared just long enough for me to snap this shot of the Seattle skyline with my iPhone. Within about 15 seconds, it was all fogged over again.

Taken of the Hudson river, just above the dam between Stillwater and Mechanicville.

Some lovely shots coming in! In keeping with my theme for the month, here's another iPhone shot NOT from New York.

On a clear day in Seattle, one should be able to see Mt. Rainier (elevation 14,409 ft.) off in the distance. It's just about 54 miles south of Seattle. In 6 days there, it was always too cloudy or foggy to see it. In fact, it was usually too cloudy or foggy to see the skyline! Figured I'd go home without that memory of Rainier. Lo and behold, on our flight home today, its peak appeared high above the clouds. I saw a lot of memorable things on this 2 week jaunt to Seattle and Vancouver, BC - but this is probably right up there at the top.
