For the first time in probably a decade, I won't be here for it. Please post pics so i can see how well it goes. Although it looks like the weather has screwed up some of the lilacs this year. The festival should still be a good time for anyone that goes.

Johnny Winter is playing tonight. Would have loved to go to that.

I've never been. Our lilacs look horrible. They barely bloomed this year.

Passed through there yesterday. Lilacs are totally shot....BUT the azaleas are phenomenal right now! Just stunning!
I won't go near there during the festival.....
I am strong, because I've been weak.
I am fearless, because I've been afraid.
I am wise, because I've been foolish.

I passed through a few days ago and thought the same thing. Last year wasn't so great either. Bummer

Do you have festivalphobia?

Haha! Ya know.... I might!

Actually though, I'm old enough to remember going to the lilac festival when it was just about the lilacs and other horticultural wonders. So the whole circus atmosphere kind of irks me.
I'm also old enough to remember Abraham Lincoln being President, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
