We both took the day off, but our trip to the Pacific NW was the "something special." Our anniversary is the reason we plan our getaways for this time in September. (Yes, I will be sharing pictures - learned my lesson last time and went out of my way to stay organized for easier sharing this time.)

And although we thought not, we still seem to be functioning as though we're on Pacific time. So...we slept in, watched the birds, went for a walk, drove to Penfield for apples, headed home with Chinese takeout from a newish place in Henrietta we hadn't tried. We are both tired of eating out after 2 weeks of it, so this was a nice compromise. Let someone else cook it, but eat at home.

Typical old people stuff. Just a relaxing day of transitioning back into reality.
