Bring your wallet, cuz it's not cheap.
In a country where there are city blocks devoted to selling fish and sea creatures of all kinds...........where menus offer up a choice of fish or fish or fish or seafood or fish, it was quite a surprise to find a store totally dedicated to selling - horse.

George - don't look.

Location? Venice, Italy

I don't know if the wine in back is red or white. My guess is that red pairs nicely with horse.

The horse figurines with plastic collars are a nice touch. Dontcha think?

The dearly de-parted horse. Apparently the head and legs don't get a number.

It's possible there's a Gallop poll where we could find out.

I hate to be a neigh-sayer, but I just don't think horse meat can ever become popular in the USA. The market just isn't stable enough.

Don't rush to judgement. I heard it's now quite popular with bridle parties and they've got a bit of it offered on the lunch menu at that school here in town.....Equinas.
