The ban will be lifted on selling horse meat for human consumption in the USA.
Soon you may be able to walk into Bill Gray's and pick the the "World's Greatest" Seabiscuit.
The ban was the result of animal rights activists. For some reason, horses are "special" and cannot be eaten by humans, although many other animals of equal or greater intelligence can (including monkeys, cats and dogs). Anyways, congress repealed the ban and in 1 month, you may be able to get some from your butcher.
I'm not sure what horse tastes like. It's not high on my list for things to eat, but... it is a potentially large market for inexpensive meat.
So, would you eat it?

No thanks. When I was oh say 12, I went on a trip to Toronto to see the Phantom of the Opera. There were rumors back then that McDonalds in Canada were using horse meat (whether true or not, I do not know)...at any rate...I ate a Big Mac from there before going to the show. I became violently ill as we were waiting outside to get in. Some other students did as well. And I recall it didnt taste like any burger I had ever eaten. On that and that alone, I'll pass.

Yes, but only in small quantities.

There is a song about that. Is she a boy or a girl?

There is a song, but not about this Lola! She is a girl and has the wardrobe to prove it.

I'd try it, if it's good, I'd get it again. Like bison, awesome burgers and steaks, just don't overcook it.

I tried bison and I think I prefer it (at least the burgers) to beef. Horse... I wonder how it compares to beef. It has to be pretty lean... which isn't exactly a good thing, right?
I know horse was very popular during the depression.

So, who will be first? Anyone want to go for it and report back?

Bison is pretty good.
