Is that a Northern Cricket Frog? My field guide indicates that they're quick little buggers! It says that they're nonclimbing members of the treefrog family.

My guidebook tells me that it is the southern widow frog... although seemingly harmless at first, its poison will seep through your skin and eventually kill you about a week later. Do not handle this frog without protective gloves or will with die or become sterile!

This little guy seemed to enjoy his picture taken. I finally had to chase him out of the road at Durand Eastman.

To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.

We circulate our garden pond water up through a bio-filter area and this green frog has claimed the outlet hose from the pump as its own personal waterfall (or bidet  ):

 Smart little froggy!
I am strong, because I've been weak.
I am fearless, because I've been afraid.
I am wise, because I've been foolish.
