I've been addicted to blueberry Chobani for several months now. I have one almost every morning for breakfast.

I'm going to head to the ganondagan fest this weekend.... supposedly they will have locally produced Seneca crafts... now i have seen Seneca gift shops/vendors at niagara falls, and really they are just run of the mill beaded necklaces (made from supplies bought at a craft shop) and dreamcatchers (that's Chippewa - out of Texas - for Christ's sake!). I'm hoping there's some authentic arts and crafts there... music too... because I want to stock up for gifts for my foreign friends... AND... I want to support local art/vendors.

Again this year I won't be able to make it. Probably the year I move out of Victor will be the year I make it.

I just got back from the festival.
Bought a lot of stuff.
the food was great! I had a buffalo burger and sausage made from black bear. then a nice shortbread sundae.
Music and dancing was really interesting.
Not great for photos since all the performances were under a tent, but definitely worth a good 5 hour visit for me.

I've never been. My father-in-law was Navajo, and he and my MIL loved going to this. Always tried to get us to go - but never did. Had I known that there'd be black bear sausage there, I certainly would have said yes years ago. (You suffered no ill effects? And would you compare it to beef, pork, or chicken?)

no ill effects... it was heavily spiced... the texture and flavor like dense pork sausage.
It's a very dark meat.
Buffalo tastes like a stronger-flavored beef.

This is made in a town like 45 minutes from me. They are pretty crazy about it. I don't mind it, but I don't get the craziness over it. I am happy, however, that it's doing so well as it is good for our local economy. They keep expanding.
