On the way to work this morning, this bird caught my attention. Took a couple of photos before he flew off. I'm not sure what kind of this is?

I'm seeing a flash of pink on the head in the second photo that leads me to believe that it's a turkey vulture. You just don't typically see them perched (but they do). The feather pattern/coloring fits as well.

The shape of the head definitely looks like a turkey vulture. Their heads are usually all red though so I don't know.
