I am strong, because I've been weak.
I am fearless, because I've been afraid.
I am wise, because I've been foolish.

My mom had a super long gum wrapper chain.
I miss REAL fudgesicles. The ones they make now are just chocolate flavored water. The texture is way off. I miss the milky fudgy ones.

Long Point Amusement Park on Conesus Lake
There is now talk of "bringing it back".
There is now talk of "bringing it back".
https://www.facebook.com/groups/22565972857/Last week, We discovered a family-owned amusement park in the Albany area that has the same type, vintage, and brand of amusement park rides that were once at Long Point Park on Conesus Lake.
Urban sprawl and being on prime real-estate is encouraging the park to close in September (in just a couple months).
We are working to establish Long Point Park as a historical museum of play for children.
This would be a small scale venture with limited hours, with the primary purpose of education and family entertainment to nurture the appreciation of Long Point, Conesus Lake, and Livingston County history.
We are presenting the idea to the Town of Geneseo to support the acquisition of the rides, historic artifacts, documents, and to relocate them to Long Point Park.
We are in the process of creating a 501(c)(3) "Not for profit" status to assist in raising funds for the "Walter Kingston Long Point Museum and Visitors' Center" in this venture.
Please invite as many people as humanly possible and let us know if you would like to see small scale family entertainment and museum of play that brings back the history of the park. We also want to hear any concerns that you might have so that we can address them in our proposal.
For an idea of what this could look like at Long Point Park, please check the pictures coming up on this page.
We look forward to seeing your thoughts on this.

I have only been there once. Near its decline, and i remember it to this day. It was a VERY tiny park.
