ADMIN: Discuss Robert H Treman State Park and the surrounding area here.
We were camping here last weekend and visited Buttermilk Park too. The camping area was nice and away from the main attraction (the swimming hole). A little thunder storm Friday when we arrived but cleared up, some light showers Saturday night as well. We started up the gorge trail and I wasn’t impressed by it. The trail does not run close enough to the river to see, at least for the ¾ miles of it we walked. The park map showed it running next to the river, it might further up the trail. The upper area of the park is well worth the trip. The walk to Lucifer Falls was nice with other falls to shoot. I believe the best view of Lucifer Falls would be from above (upper gorge trail) you should be able to see the entire falls. I was surprised at the lack of water due to the rain fall this summer.

great shots with excellent contrast. How lucky were were to get photos without swimmers.

Matt, I think you've got an error on the Robert Treman page. I'm pretty sure the creek behind the mill is called Fish Kill Creek and not Butternut Creek.
