It was cold and icy at Highland Park today, but right on schedule - the 2 things that always bloom in March were putting on a show. Saw no birds, no critters and barely another human. The lilacs, tree peonies and magnolias have nice plump buds - just waiting for the right time.

After looking at the faces of the runners in those pictures they sure seem an unhappy bunch. Someone should tell them about the joy of running and the 'endorphin high' they are supposed to get. ;)
