Some places will digitize video to DVD for $20 or so per tape.
Check the yellow pages.
Going to net video from DVD is as simple as a freeware software package. I also have the capacity to do it.

Bandwidth to host video is another issue altogether.
I started putting video on the site (see Corbet's Glen and Clark's Gully below the slide show... I'm not sure if people see or like the videos or if the quality is good enough. (It's actually all recorded using a pocket canon digital) If I get good feedback I may put up more.

I was also thinking of recording some high quality MP3 of falls. I have no equipment for that now, and I'd have to generate some ad revenue to afford the cost... but I think it would be cool for users to download a nice 30 minute Hi-fi MP3 of their favorite falls or creek and perhaps use it to relax or sleep.

But I think cool things like rockfalls, slides and flooding is what would really draw people to the site. I pray that I'm there and ready when something does happen.
