Well, the metamorphosis has begun! The day before yesterday these were all turkeys, but by yesterday evening...This morning there wasn't a turkey to be seen.

Yeah, I took that the other evening before they totally disappeared. We've seen a few birds at a time over the past day or so, but nothing compared to the numbers that we were seeing earlier in the month (20+ birds in a flock). Patterns have changed and love is in the air...All I can say is that those birds don't know how lucky they were that we aren't outlaws. It's really tough to see so many birds strutting around together, knowing that they'll be gone by May 1st.

That's funny! I thought that only dogs hated postal workers! I'm sure that I wouldn't think that it was very funny if they were after me, but they're not...

The thought of a turkey chasing a mailmain is funny. Too bad they didn't catch any footage.

:woohoo: Mike shot a nice jake at 6:50 this morning!!! It was a perfect head shot within 10 - 15 yards with a 3 1/2" turkey load (Remington 12 gauge). He had it breasted out and the legs removed before I even got out of bed (having been awakened the first time at 4:30--I didn't even hear the shot), so I missed the photo op. It had a 4" beard. Guess what we're having for dinner?
