I know they have done it in the past, but today someone mentioned to me that they are planning on stopping the flow again to do some maintenance. Is this true os just someone blowing smoke?

I've read that they never turn off all of the flow, even though they do have the capability. Turning them completely off would draw in quite the crowds to the area, I would think that they should plan those ahead and publicize it to expect tons of media and public attention. Usually when they shut off flow, they cut down one of the falls or part of one of the falls.
