Does anyone know of a good campground in the Niagara area? The closest one I know of is Letchworth, which is two hours away.

I don't know, but that sounds like a good idea. I'm eager to find out.

I see that there's a KOA campground in the area and while I've never stayed there, I have had very good luck with KOA in other parts of the country: http://www.niagarafallsnorthkoa.com/

Four Mile Creek State Park on the US side is about 15 minutes north of the falls and has 275 campsites.

Matt and Brenda,

Thanks for the campground leads. I decided to go with a cabin at Robert H. Treman SP in Ithaca this year. This will give me a chance to go back to some of my favorite falls and also get to a few that I have missed. And Ithaca just feels like home to me. I'll let my kids decide if we do a day at Niagara. We may also do a day trip to Rochester during our week.
