It's his best shot with a Kayaker going over the falls.

I'd love to... not supposed to be a good picture taking day tomorrow, and I have to go back to school on wednesday. If I come back between january and february I'll post here if you want to come out. It's a gorgeous falls, and I've been looking forward to dropping them for a while now.
I use this site just to find waterfalls I can conceivably kayak, and hopefully joining the board will open up some new information about some of these drops...

I want to start kayaking this summer, so maybe in a few years

This winter would be the time to do it... If you're interested in whitewater kayaking, hook up with FLOW (Finger Lakes Ontario Watershed) Paddling club. http://www.flowpaddlers.org.
They run pool sessions over the winter at MCC and GCC, and can get you in a boat and rolling. I'd offer to teach you to roll, but I'm going to be in Vermont until May. You'll be able to find somebody at the pool to work with. It's a great sport, and another way to appreciate waterfalls and rapids. It'll be a few years anyway before you're hucking Medina Falls, but Western NY is full of some great drops. Good luck, man, and I hope to see you on the water!
