A note from the NYFalls.com founder:
Due to a company restructuring, I will be losing my full time job soon. Although it saddens me to leave the company that I have helped build up for the last 14 years to the success it is today, I am looking forward to new opportunities. I am known for my technical, managerial, and creative abilities, and I hope to utilize all of those talents in my next career. I put together a résumé outlining my skills and projects. Please have a look. Although I am open to any management position, I would like to leverage my experience and success with NYFalls.com and NYHistoric.com into a career in the WNY travel/tourism industry. If you know of a company that would benefit from someone with talents and experience, please spread the word. Thank you for your help and support.
Here is my Resume | Discussion topic

This happened just now and a few other times the last few weeks....

I log in, all the unread topics turn orange. (so far so good)
I don't have time to read everything (some are still orange), so I log out. When I log back in a few hours later, nothing is orange.
So I have to check all the post times to see if anything is new.

It just marks orange the posts that are new since the last time you visit. If you navagate away, it will reset those. I can't change that but perhaps the new software will fix it.

There is one solution. Never leave the site. Ever.

There's some slowness and problems loading the site today. I'm looking into it.
There is a serious issue with the internet as a whole... seems as though it's beeing maxed out. So a lot of server issues outside of my control will be happening... you may notice this on other sites.
This problem seems to be localized with my host and their hosts. I put in a ticket to have it resolved. I will not tollerate this performance for very long.

http://www.internetpulse.com shows you which of the big servers on the net are having problems.

It's my provider. They have admitted a problem and said they are working on it. this is leagues ahead of what my old provider did- but it's still not fixed!
