hah. Either that or I was in the right place at the right time! And it was an overcast day.

I have no control over contrast whatsoever with my little Olympus. The more bright sky I have in the picture, it dims the foreground. The more forground I have, it tries to auto-contrast and blasts out the sky. So I'm constantly trying to find that balance. And usually fail. :)

Bring a tripod and take both exposures. Then combine them in Photoshop.

Mt. Marcy looks so... menacing. I remember the first time I saw the peak I was thinking "wow, I'm going to be up THERE?"
