These are from as close to the road right in that park between the lakes. Very hazy day. The approach to the bottom of the falls is still as you said, blown out. Not as pretty, no more pool. Tree shrapnel everywhere. And Buggy as heck.

Oh wow it looks as though you're looking down on the whole set of falls. This will definitely be on my list of stops for this years fall trek.

That is a nice view, I was there recently and there's still not much recovery from Irene, though it makes for some interesting shots. I'm really curious as to what the upper sections look like now, but I can't imagine trying to climb up there. Before Irene, there were spots where the only way to get past some places was to hold onto the trees, and since there are almost no trees there anymore, it would be a bit more difficult and dangerous.

We were there is August and like LGD said it is still rough. The water wasn't flowing much either.
