First waterfall outing in a long time. Went to Diamond Notch Falls near Hunter Mountain in Greene County. An easy walk of less than a mile, and a pretty nice waterfall. 10-15 feet tall, nice mossy rock ledge. It was a bit rainy yesterday so we didn't wander around too much, but a nice walk anyway. Long drive up the valley to get to the parking lot, and still a lot of bridge repair going on from last year's Irene flooding.

Excellent captures. I think we all took a break from falling in this dismal precipitation year. I'm only now feeling comfortable getting out, and not every venture has been fruitful. I wonder what this one looks like in full flow.

Thanks. Yeah, I haven't been out much because of the water situation either. Not having been at this falls before, I don't know if this is low flow, high, or normal. There is plenty of evidence the water was higher due to Irene, but beyond that, I have no idea.
