wow! Excellent research. Yeah, they definitely were too far north. There looks like some steep gorge walls in that 3rd photo. I'll have to try accessing from that parking are you found.

But typical of me I made a mistake. There is much better, far closer parking. If you look at the first pic on E. River Rd you will see parking to the left. Save yourself almost a mile of hiking and bag the big rope for a descent. You can just walk up the glen.
