I hear you about Hell's Hole. We've been in there a few times getting shots of the second waterfall below the main one at the top of Platte Clove (see my avatar). It's just so much more risky on that side. The hill just gets progressively steeper until it drops off and I think that's what catches people by surprise. That and the fact it's almost entirely covered with dead pine needles which can be very slippery even if you're watching out for it. But because it has roadside access, that's the way people are going to go. They aren't going to hike the hour needed to get to Black Chasm.
