You know, I did try! He just wasn't as cooperative as some I've encountered. Perhaps he's just a little leery of women at this point in the season. So, you'll just have to use the dogwood berries as a point of reference.

Is anyone else overrun with Japanese Beetles this year? I hate them!!! I just returned from yet another killing spree!

I know that it's sadistic, but I love watching them drop to the ground and writhe in agony. There are very few creatures that I feel that way about.

if you get traps, you will probably have to empty them ever morning, but if you have a pond, they make for great fish and frog food.

Cool! I'd love to feed them to my fish and frogs!

Empty the traps early before they warm up, that way the beetles are too slow to fly away.
