This may be an obvious answer, but it has to be asked. When you visit the Falls, do you skip Niagara Falls Reservation State Park and head right into Canada, or do you stay on this side of the border?
What is there to do on each side? Don't forget our guide to the American v. Canadian sides of Niagara Falls

The last time I went (a couple years ago), I spent all my time on the American side and had a pretty good time. It's been many, many years since I was on the Canadian side, but I do think they have better access to the prettier falls. Since you can't cross without a passport, and you never know how long the lines will be, I'm more likely to stay on this side for future visits.

Yeah, the two times I've been there, we went to the Canadian side first, probably over the peace bridge or Rainbow bridge, forget now, and did the stuff on that side, circled around and came back the American side and did that stuff. My favorite part is the hike down to the whirlpool, and you have to do that from the Canadian side. Too bad the peace is interrupted by those dang helicopter tours.....

I have always hit the Canadian side and not the American side. It has been a few years since I've been to the falls and since I have yet to get a passport, I guess its the American side for now.
To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.

Did not know that, maybe next time I'll check it out, and since I don't have a passport either, the Canadian side might wait a long time.Matt wrote:you can do it from the American side too... http://www.nyfalls.com/niagara/niagara-whirlpool.html
