In June... let's get together and create one of these:

I have been studying how these work and what makes for the best ones and I think we can top them all.
There are many options, but i'm thinking Niagara region... I think Fort Niagara Historic Sitewould be great, but the admission cost is $10/person.
Niagara Falls from the observation tower on the American side would be nice too, but there may be just too many people (which we can work with, or around).
Basically any site would work as long as there is a centralized hub from which the photographers can radiate out capturing photos from.

For some reason I cannot install Silverlight.
I want a more "organic" location,
like a park, or historic site... something that we can provide as a resource as well as being a cool project.
The goal would be to snap thousands of shots of everything we see, and then have this software combine them into a 3D thing.
How about middle and lower falls at Driving Park Bridge?. also, Charlotte?
Charlotte.... I like that...
anyone want to spend 2 hours photographing everything they can at the beach or at high falls?
High falls may be better (simpler 3D environment) than Charlotte and if our first try works, we can always do the beach as the next challenge.
Sound good to me....depends on the day and time or do a solo.
if we are to combine all the photos in one 3D gallery, and make it more awesome than what's already on that website, we all have to shoot at the same time, with the same white balance and a lot of overlap.
With some advance notice on which weekend I should be available.
To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.
