Pictures of Flume Falls on Rt 86 just south of Wilmington, NY. Plenty of water in the Ausable River..at least for waterfall photos.

About 4 years ago I snapped this pic while out driving aimlessly around. I think I was somewhere near the backside of WhiteFace Mountain in Wilmington, near Lake Placid. However I have not been able to find a pic of this fall anywhere, or locate it again...grrrr.
I'm really hoping someone on here might know the name or where it is so I can go back and get a better pic. I seemed it was near a pull off on the side of a road and went down a rather steep hill. ( How helpful are those coordinates?)

I dont know but if you figure it out give me a heads up! I will be staying in Lake Placid so I plan on trying to visit any falls in the immediate area possible.
I cant tell...but is there a larger falls behind that? Looks whitish...like there might be or its rock...not sure.

There was another one behind it, but I couldnt get across to that little island without getting wet. This is why I want to get back there, with some shorts and water shoes and get across there lol.

Looks like the bottom end of the Wilmington Flume. There is a bridge that crosses the river and you park at one end. There is a restaurant on the other end of the bridge and a KOA (I think) campground on the other side of the road. There are trails on both sides of the river that lead down to the bottom pool. There are a couple of falls within the flume as well, you can see them from the top of the cliffs, or if you're adventurous, there are a couple of places you can climb down to look at them, but it's tricky. There is also a set of falls above the bridge just down from the parking area. Watch out for poison ivy, though this time of year it's probably gone by now.
I have a ton of pictures of the place, but never got around to posting them.
