Be on the lookout for Underground Railroad-related sites. I would love to put together a nice virtual-tour of these locations for next year.

Years ago I did a paper on a house in Churchville that was on the Underground Railroad. A friend of mines brother lived there but, I'm not sure if he still does. I have lost contact with them over the years. You can see the house from 490 just before you come to the Churchville exit. The original part of the house was a restaurant. In the basement there was a hidden area (very small) behind the cistern (sp) where the slaves would hide if anyone approached. Upstairs in the addition to the home is a room that has many signatures on the wall from travellers that stayed there., mine included now.
To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.

That has to be marked... it should!
I don't see it on a the state registry, but it could still be marked by another entity.

I know where are a lot of sites near auburn and endless sites along the seaway drive. Where individuals would sometimes wait weeks for a ship to arrive to take them to canada.

The Rogues Harbor Inn in Lansing was supposedly a site.

We have 2 already.

There's a couple right around me, including one with a historical marker. I'll see if I can find it (again) this afternoon
