Yeah, it was a bit scary. The hardest part was that there was NOTHING Ben or I could do to stop him. Once his foot went out, he was just gone, and all we could do was watch for the split second it took him to go down the falls. Freaked us out. There was so much that could have gone wrong in that fall, but luck was on his side for sure. When we saw Kyle get up out of the plunge pool and start walking around, we breathed a huge sigh of relief. It sucks that his phone is busted, but at the same time, if that's the only thing that was lost in that fall then so be it. There was someone lookin' out for him yesterday.

I'm sure I can speak for Ben when I say that we're both very glad that you're ok, Kyle.

And if you're looking for a hiking buddy when you go, feel free to contact me and I'll join ya whenever I can.

I slept like a rock last night. When Ben and I arrived yesterday, I was working on ~2hrs sleep over the past three days, so needless to say I was BEAT when we got home. I took a shower and went to bed around 9pm and I didn't wake up til 10 this morning. I'm feeling it a little bit right now, and I'm sure it's gonna get worse as the day goes.

I think I got some decent pics, but I haven't looked yet. Certainly fun, though I probably should have just left my gear in the car, so I didn't have to lug it around when climbing. The last time I fell 20 ft or so was last autumn at Whirlpool park, and messed up my foot pretty bad. Nothing I ever would want to repeat. My equilibrium is returning, although not quite there yet.

Anyways... Andy and Ben are just nuts.

You were doing pretty well yesterday, in so far as the equilibrium goes. I was glad you made it out, man.

Hey, I never claimed sanity as one of my redeeming qualities. ;)

Kyle, I can say it was a great day even if it did not start out the best, as Andy said anytime you want to go out for a climb let us know we will be more than happy to go. I am more than happy to set ropes for us to use. Thank you for taking those videos of me its great to see what other people see me doing.

Matt, It was nice meeting you and for the record I am completely nuts, but I know my limits. I just push them a lot.

Hope to see both of you out there again it was a blast and an experience I wont forget in a hurry

If you will...imagine seeing only my foot/ankle at the very top of this picture....thats what I fell and went over.

It was great meeting all of you guys, I had alot of fun. Give me some time and I might be back out in the primative gullies with company and ropes, but as of right now Im leaning towards places like Letchworth, Watkins, Buttermilk...etc. My knee is the size of a softball and I have an apple sized black and blue lump on my hip. Still playing in my head how very differently that could have ended.

Just a word to the wise before the videos get posted, DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME, and we mean it!!! Andy and I are very practiced at what we do, and know what risks we are taking. Don't get yourself into something you can't get out of.
