I didn't see a post for this but Lakeview WMA on eastern Lake Ontario offers great paddling and some of the best wild beaches in NY. There are many ways to access Lakeview WMA by canoe. But my preferred way is from the fishermans parking lot on rt. 3 at the bridge over South Sandy Creek. Paddle downstream to the lake. The Beach and dunes extend for miles all state land. I really like this place. I canoed down a couple months ago trolling mepps spinners off the back of the canoe and my brother hooked a beautifull steelhead. Fought it for about 30 seconds and lost it. Made a couple nice leaps though. Yes, that is me at the mouth of the Sandy's. And nine mile point nuke plant in the distance.
It is an interesting question how far men would retain their relative rank if they were divested of their clothes. -Thoreau
