My holiday tradition (starts with thanksgiving and runs through the new year) is to avoid the family and try to relax and work on NYFalls and my photography.
I recently (last 3 years) would take the week after christmas to sit down and enjoy a good first play game. It has been the "Uncharted" games and I really enjoy them. Last year my holiday was spend redesigning NYFalls.
Day after christmas I always go to the movies by myself.

For my family, our unique traditions are:
December 23rd... a Pinata party. My mom makes a pinata from wrapping paper and our large extended (Irish) family beats it until the candy falls.
December 24th, my dad treats his brothers and their families to lunch at McDonalds. Not sure whee that came from and why. But it's really a treat for the kids.
The family party on Christmas eve has a unique element: Kazoos are passed out and people play christmas songs until Santa shows up. Once year the Easter Bunny made an appearance, confusing kids until Santa arrived and fought him off.

A new thing I started last year, and I guess I made it a tradition this year.
I'm a pretty good candy maker/eater

I made some traditional European candies for a party I refuse to attend.
These are all made from basic ingredients

Butter Chews

Candy-covered caramels
