Let us know about those little-known, but greatly-impressive shops and boutiques found in the corners of the state.
Please provide a brief description as to why it's a "gem" and location so others can find it.

I found this one over the weekend:
Adam Miller Toys and Bicycles
8 Center St, Batavia
http://www.adammillertoyandbicycle.com

I saw this shop while looking around for a place to eat in the ghost town that is Batavia, NY (maybe everyone is at the track on Saturday). The outside looks like an old general store... the neon deco sign... something from the late 40s. Walking inside was like stepping back in time. From the antique toys in glass cases, to the old-style die cast cowboy cap guns, classic teddy bears, and model car kits (they even have all the Testers paints), this shop caters to classic toys that are still in production today, as well as some old (on consignment) OOP model kits. They also sell and repair bicycles. Definitely worth a visit if you want to remember some favorites from the past or pick up a gift for that adult child. Prices are bit above average. Service is good.
