Looks good. I have been on a tomato thing lately. I used to hate them, now just loon=king at them and my mouth waters.
I'm constantly drinking V8 too. good stuff.

See, Mikell?! Even if you tell a story with words, the picture is all some of us are going to notice!

Oh I loves me vegetables....for example, went to the market for Kale from the man last weekend,
had a pumpkin from a friend....of which this market photo represents.
Then remembered the dried chestnuts in the cupboard . Not from this poor dying monster, which is the last living American Chestnut left in Highland Park. They have been keeping this tree alive since the early 1900s. Actually it is a descendant shoot each of which first sends up another generation sucker and then passes away from the blight that wiped this species off the map in most of the United States.
Even maturing and dying this sad tree can create a nut or too...which the squirrels get.
To these ingredients, last night I added some fresh sage picked before the snow killed it late last night, carrots, potato, broth, onion, shallot and my treasured New Orleans spices. And some fresh grated Parmesan...the result a rustic pumpkin, kale and chestnut stew...garnished with a few pumpkins seed roasted in the oven with a bit of olive oil.
