Display your photos or the photos of others here. This is also where you'll find the Monthly Photo Challenge.
The purpose of these challenges is to encourage us to get out and get the best shot of an assigned subject. It's a great way to enhance your photography skills.
Even if you think you take crappy pictures, please join in. Those of you just reading the forum and not posting, this is your chance to join in and show off.
This month's challenge: "Weather"
It has to be taken by you.
It has to be taken in Upstate NY.
A winner will be selected based on the following criteria:
-freshness (have we seen it somewhere before or did you take it just for this challenge? - we prefer the latter!)
-use of color (or lack thereof)
The October prize:
A temperature and humidity meter - indoor only (may look different from pictured)
If you want some inspiration, check out Mitch Dobrowner's storm clouds in this month's Audubon Magazine:
A nice combination of a waterfall with a storm way off in the distance.
taken at Thacher State park
Taken in Black Creek Park, North Chili.
Great photo, Chris. Nice to see you here. Welcome!
Thank you both for the welcome! Thought this was a nice way to finally make my debut on the forums.
great perspective, Jim!
wish I check out our post first. I didn't know the park had 20ish waterfalls , but it was a cold day hence the reason to return and check out all of them
Took this in July at Robert Treman State Park from the gorge trail above Lucifer Falls. It was a very humid day with Thunderstorms off in the distance.
