I'd love to have your people as subjects. Great catch Brenda.
To become truly immortal, a work of art must escape all human limits: logic and common sense will only interfere. But once these barriers are broken, it will enter the realms of childhood visions and dreams.

Anyone willing to share their approach?
Thanks, Kelly! The ones I took at the beach were with my telephoto, so I didn't feel as awkward as usual because I could obviously shoot people from further away and hope they didn't notice, but other than that I feel like I need to hide behind a tree, haha.

It might be easier for a women to hide behind a tree and take the shot but a man hiding behind a tree and taking random shots of people could lead to an arrest or at least questioning. LOL. Looks a little creepy.

Sometimes I just aim my camera (without looking through the view finder) and shoot. I did a whole day of that years ago for an art class while in NY.

This is so much easier to do now with digital than with traditional cameras.

I rarely take random people photos, but then I generally prefer non-people photography anyway (as a photographer, not a viewer). :)

Here's another photo from the jamboree on Saturday. This woman was having a ball dancing by herself. I don't think that alcohol had anything to do with it--she was just being a free spirit. I don't think that the little boy understood though. :)
