Very nice series Mike! Where did you get the Aussies? I bet they are adorable. I bet they're also a handful! Talk about high energy! I'd love to see some pics.
Thanks.
We got the Aussies (Miniature Aussies, actually) from a breeder in Fillmore, NY. They are some seriously crazy puppies, but having two of them lets them wear each other out. I put some pics up in the Pets thread.
These pretty blue flowers were everywhere in early April. I think they are from bulbs...but don't know what they're called. They apparently love their growing conditions! Spectacular! (Not forget-me-nots, bluebells or grape hyacinths...thought they might be windflowers, but a quick Google shows me no match. Anyone know?)

I should have included a close up with my request.....could be hepatica - but with this shot, you can see the leaves are not the same at all. Hmmmm......thanks for trying.

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure its called Glory of the Snow.
You're good. Only you could track down and identify a bulbous perennial from west Turkey! (Too bad Jeff is gone - I remember how much he loved flowers! )
Thanks!!

I have them here too, though nothing like Highland Park yet. I've just been calling them "those pretty little blue flowers!" They were in a mixed bag of bulbs that we purchased from a friend a few years ago. It was a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis.
