So I got to try this thing out with a snorkel.I have not perfected it, but for a little camera on the end of and old cross country ski pole, you can get close to the action. The lobster actually attacked the camera!

Best Buy is running a deal that gives you a 32GB card, which you need for video. Check out the web site for some fun videos. For underwater shots cleaning up red/green/blue channels in "levels" make a huge huge difference in removing the milky green/blue.

Ok, this is not underwater. But this docile iguana is one of only 600-800 blue iguana's left in the world.

Not a bad paradise to be an endangered blue iguana.....

Thanks, and it was fun. The big difference is the Levels.

Really need to watch this YouTube video: Photoshop: Underwater color correction

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFhrTQJg6MI

Start at 3:26 for an explanation of levels adjustment. Explained really simply. But here is the thing. After you watch this red/green/blue levels correction, take one of you favorite pictures of a sunset or long distance shot. You will be amazed how it works better than "clarity" options in Lightroom or Camera raw. Cleaning up the empty areas, or squeezing the highs and low to the histogram has amazing results. And it is simple.

Clouds at sunset pop. Long multi depth landscapes become super clear. If you want, watch the rest of the video for channel mixing ( the idea that your very stressed picture has i.e. no green color, and how you use red and blue to make up for it).

wow.. those are astounding. I didn't expect such a camera to do so well underwater. I'm tempted now.
