Its been awhile since i posted sorry about that lifes been busy.
I am in the market for a wide angle lens but I really have no clue as to what i am looking for.
I have a canon Xsi, i am looking to take wide landscape shoots
any advice would be great.
I'm looking too. You might want to check these out:
Hypothetically, would you consider this one instead - to go even wider?
I am looking for a wide angle as well for a Nikon N80 SLR. Currently have a NIkkor 35-80 and 70-300. I'm finding I need something wider for landscape as well as some other ventures. Any good suggestions?
I have the Nikkor 12-24 1:4 G ED and like it. Sharp picks an meets my needs for landscape
I totally agree with you. I have the same lens and love it
Great glass, just pops out in pictures. Been blessed to have nice lenses. Really just use two, 95% of the time, both canon glass. the 24-105, and 70-200 ( with 1.4 extender). Get image stabilization. If you invest in a good lense get stabilization.
If you think you need a bunch of lenses, maybe reconsider. I encourage getting one really great lense vs primes and specials. Then add as that great lense doesn't fill a special need. I just bet you will not be unhappy.
One more thought. Had a simpler 70-200 lense and put it on Craig's list. Sold in 48 hours, tons of calls. Good glass has good aftermarket.
