Cool perspective. I would have been scared that the mist and air currents would have caused a catastrophic failure.

yeah. In the Q/A on the youtube page he comments about watching the weather for weeks.
It's also a pretty damned expensive drone too.

I want to do this... at like letchworth, and ithaca falls, but for less than $500.

You should, that would be fun. It looks like he had a GoPro camera. I don't know much about drones, but I figured it was expensive. And he must have many channels for it too, to control the camera and such. He also took the drone pretty high and far.

I have a remote controlled helicopter. I can keep it up for about 2 minutes before it crashes into something and breaks a rotor.
