yes, porcupine repellant. or fox urine (found at some hunting supply stores). You could also try peeing on the wood yourself.
I just got back from my annual trip to the A.S.P. lean-to and sprinkled some of this critter repellant around. It worked well! :up: We saw a porcupine only about 20 feet away twice in the evening but didn't come any closer and we weren't woken up in the middle of the night by any gnawing sounds. They are definitely still active here. The once square ends of the wood used to build the lean-to are now completely rounded from all the gnaw marks.
