That's all I can think of. Was that what you were thinking too? Have you seen him again?

I wasn't sure what to think. I haven't seen him since, but I haven't had the time to really stake out the feeder either. Today is my first day off since 5/26, so maybe I'll spend some time out there this afternoon.

Hey David - if it makes you feel any smarter, both of those words were new to me, mere moments before they were new to you. :shush: :dunce:

I had some visit yesterday, but I've only seen one so far today. It grows harder to see them leave every year. :goodbye:

Given the mild weather that we've had this spring, I'm putting the feeders out today. It's a week earlier than last year but...

Good for you! I think I had already seen an oriole by this time last year. And later learned that it was the first sighting in the area. But as of now, have not seen one. Hard to believe it's time for hummingbirds already again. Keep us posted!

Great news! I kept thinking I saw them today buzzing by me, but just turned out to be some of the 100s of red admiral butterflies that have descended upon the area. I've never seen so many! Anyway - thanks for the tip. I immediately got mine ready and up!!

We spotted a male at one of the feeders this morning, but it was obviously just passing through--very skittish compared to our resident birds... We haven't seen much activity in the past week. I love fall but I hate to see the hummingbirds leave.
