They also use spider webs to "glue" their nests together, though that's certainly not the case at this point in the season.

Thanks, Bill - and yes. As an avid gardener, I'm enjoying the results of 20 years of backbreaking yardwork. In a newly built development, when we moved in 2 decades ago, our yard was nothing more than a bare plot with the crappiest dirt you can imagine. Slowly and methodically I've managed to transform it into my own little paradise and I've finally decided to quit creating and start enjoying! 8)
