Got to check out this website. Two live cams of a pari of really gorgeous Great Blue Herons. They have two eggs, and they are buidling up the nest together today. But go the the "Second Camera View" as it is even better. Someone is remotely following the Dad all over. The detail and up-close-just-one-foot-away-relationship is not anything you could ever witness yourself.

Three eggs as of 5 minutes ago. Just don't know how you could possibly ever experience this were it not for the bird cam. Don't forget the second cam. It is of same Mom, i think, just remotely adjustable, and with about a 3 second delay.

Now four chicks. They had their first meal this morning and have been sleepy headed ever since. Lots of movement.

I don't know why but I think this is very very cool. How do they know to keep turning the last remaining egg? How do the chicks know to peck on the fish? Why don't they just fall out? Where is the owl that attacked? Curious minds want to know...

There is also live coverage of the nest of a red-tailed hawk from this link. (Look at top header)

Cool
“There’s an inconsequentiality to our lives that living in the wilderness shows up. Mountain are real, they set their limits, they set ours. They expose us, make us vulnerable and strong at the same time. “
