Postby alilconcerned » Thu Nov 04, 2010 6:59 pm

Okay... I'm probably gonna look like an idiot here, but I can not figure out what this is.. I thought a fox, but the face seems wrong to me for that.. I only have 2 shots of it and the first as you can see is totally messed up!

Another bobcat? I zoomed in on the second picture and the tail looks pretty, um, bobby. Your woods are probably full of them! :kitty: :kitty: :kitty: But seriously, you might have a family.

It does look like a bobcat from the back. It could be the same cat, but it would be difficult to say without closer examination as each animal has individual markings. I found some interesting information here: BOBCAT BIOLOGY, ECOLOGY, BEHAVIOR AND CONSERVATION

Oh jeeze.. my tree stand is about 10 yards from this creature!
My husband swears it's a fox.. the nose looks pointed..
The bottom picture was taken first and a second later the top.. but yet they look soo different?? Maybe it's an inbreed of something!! lol

Brenda, I'm checking that link now..
