Look what we saw while driving north along 96A Saturday evening! :bounce:
These shots came out so blurry they look faked. Must have been how that guy felt when he got that sasquatch on film back in the 70s. :shush:

There was one non-albino hanging out with 3 white ones...

I never get tired of seeing them. It's not uncommon for a doe to have one white and one brown fawn. They've launched a new campaign, "Spend a buck to save some doe:" http://newyorkoutdoors.files.wordpress. ... a-deer.pdf

Seneca White Deer Tours - Spring 2009
February 22, 2009 by newyorkoutdoors
After a long wait and lots of effort, Seneca White Deer Inc. has been able to obtain permission to hold three weekends of tours at the Seneca Army Depot again this spring. The attached files include all the information about the tours and the registration process but feel free to email or call me (Denis Money, [email protected], 585-394-1287 ) with any questions. Our goal is to once again have a sell out crowd to show that a blend of tourism and conservation are the best and highest use for the remaining lands of the former Depot.

With your help in spreading the word, we can accomplish that task.

Thank you! Dennis Money, 585-394-1287, www.senecawhitedeer.org

Registration Form:

Back by popular demand, an extended touring season begins this April and continues thru the first Sunday of May to visit the Seneca Army Depot. Come view the famous white deer, ospreys, turkeys, visit an empty ammunition bunker and learn about the military history of the former Seneca Army Depot. Tours last approximately two hours and will be by bus only. Don’t delay in registering as in 2006 hundreds of people had to be turned away.

Buses will depart from the Varick Volunteer Fire Department which is located at #4682 NYS Rt. 96A, about 7 miles south of NYS Rts. 5&20. Look for signs. A map can also be found on the back of this registration form. Your support is valuable as Seneca White Deer Inc. continues to pursue tourism as the best economic stimulus for thousands of acres of the Depot and to protect the Depot for current and future generations to enjoy as a conservation park.

Please fill out the registration form below indicating a first and second choice for the tours. Prices are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 62 and over and $7 for children 12 and younger. Mail your checks or money orders to: Young’s Travel Service, Attn: Bettylou Young, 60 Mynderse St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148. Checks or money orders should be made out to “Seneca White Deer”. There are no refunds unless the tour is canceled due to weather so please make every effort to attend your chosen date and time.

Group tours for those organizations having their own buses will be available on Fridays only for the three weekends. Please call Bettylou at 315-568-4112 for the details and scheduling. You will receive your tickets shortly in the mail after your registration is processed. We do not accept credit cards; checks or money orders only. Don’t forget to bring your cameras and binoculars!!

Check the date and times for your first and second choice and indicate those choices in the registration form below, i.e. write 1st choice, 2nd choice in the appropriate space.
